1/144 777

Finished this up for the Boeing group build. It the minicraft flights of fancy 777 that had the pan american cliper decals. I used the flightpath decals to turn her into a united bird.

I also had to scratch build the horizontal stabilizers since the kit came without any. Plus not to mention some extreme thining of the trailing edges of all the flight control surfaces. The paints used are model master neutral grey and blue angel blue for the fuselage paint, and light gull grey lighted up with some white for the wings.

Its a pretty terrible kit, cant wait for Zvezda to release there 300 version.

Nice job. I think the 1:1 birds have winglets on the tips, which the kit also nicely avoids.

She’s pretty!

Agreed!

Disagreed!

That looks great!

Correct…the 777 does not have winglets…the 300 ER’s, however have 3-4 foot composite wing tip extension that is “cranked”.

Having built a couple of these I know your pain, you have done a great job. [Y]

I have heard the ‘cranked’ wingtips also referred to as ‘raked’ wingtips. Is there an official Boeing name for them?
