01520 German 3.7cm Flak 43 Flappanzer IV "Ostwind" (June)

http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/trumpeter.htm

do you like flappanzers?

hmmm. some interesting releases there. Regarding the Flappanzer- It includes a full interior!![8-] The only negatives i see is the cat that the gun barrel and and muzzle brake are plastic, but thats an easy fix. Also, while the PE turret is a sound idea, it looks like t would be a [censored] to fold…

my thoughts.

Wow…that Ostwind might give Dragon’s a run for its money…that Bergepanzer is nice as well…also dig that German artillery crew…

Notice that Trump’s marketing style is looking a lot more like Dragon’s: they have started including more mixed media, such as PE, and even the box presentation mimmicks DML…

See that?

I just finish my Bergepanzer III with the complicated resin conversion, and out come one. Yeah, I know it’s a BPz IV, but it’s essentially the same thing…

Hmmm…maybe if I build an old Emhar WWI Mark IV Britis tank, someone will come out with one with a full interior?!!

Hey, ya can dream…[:-^]

Pretty cool stuff there, for sure. I have a CMK conversion for that Ostwind thingy…

[#ditto]

I have the complicated resin BPz IV conversion. I’ve been putting off building it for just this reason.

After it sat in the stash for about 3 years, last night I finally dove into it. And now look.

Go for it Karl! You have to trigger the “Modeler’s Murphy’s Law” on full-scale conversions/scratch-builds or it will never happen. [(-D]

I also discovered that I had a CMK Ostwind over the weekend. Mostly Tamiya running gear, but looking at the kit I didn’t like they way they formed the gun shields (just looked too thick). The LAV-M is also going to be added to my want list along with the two half tracks. Looks like the checking account’s in trouble again!
